Why Qualified Vessel Welding Matters
A pressure vessel or storage tank carries its contents — and sometimes pressure, heat, or hazard — for the working life of the plant. It is only as sound as its weld seams, and a seam that was never made to a qualified procedure is a leak, or worse, waiting to happen. Welders Ghana fabricates vessels and tanks to recognised pressure-vessel practice, by welders qualified to ISO 9606, then NDT-inspects and hydro-tests them — so the vessel is proven before it goes into service, not after it fails.
Vessel & Tank Systems We Build
Pressure Vessels
Industrial pressure vessels — shells, heads, nozzles, and supports rolled, fitted, and seam-welded to a qualified procedure, then inspected and tested.
Storage Tanks
Atmospheric and process storage tanks — workshop-built or field-erected, seam-welded, NDT-inspected, and proven sound.
Vessel & Tank Repair
Repair of cracked, corroded, or leaking vessels and tanks — affected sections cut out, re-prepped, re-welded to procedure, re-inspected and re-tested.
NDT & Hydro-Tested Fabrication
Vessels backed by non-destructive testing and hydrostatic testing — with weld, inspection, and test records handed over for traceability.
What We Fabricate & Test
| You need | What we do |
|---|---|
| Pressure vessel | Roll, fit, seam-weld to procedure, NDT, hydro-test |
| Storage tank | Workshop-built or field-erected, welded and tested |
| Cracked / leaking vessel | Cut out, re-prep, re-weld, re-inspect, re-test |
| Nozzle / support addition | Welded to procedure, inspected |
| Documented handover | Welds, welders, NDT, and hydro-test results recorded |
How We Weld a Pressure Vessel
- Survey, drawings & procedure — material, thickness, and design conditions agreed; welded to a qualified procedure.
- Roll, fit & seam-weld — shell rolled, heads and nozzles fitted, seams welded by welders qualified to ISO 9606.
- NDT inspect — visual plus radiography, ultrasonics, dye-penetrant, or magnetic-particle on the seams that require it.
- Hydro-test & hand over — hydrostatically tested to prove it holds pressure, documented, and handed over.
Standards & Compliance
- Welder qualification to ISO 9606 and welding quality management to ISO 3834 — qualified people, controlled process
- Vessels and tanks fabricated to recognised pressure-vessel welding practice, with qualified welding procedures, documented method, and acceptance — not improvised
- Non-destructive testing (radiography, ultrasonics, dye-penetrant, or magnetic-particle) and hydrostatic testing on the seams and vessels that require it, with recorded results for traceability
- Over 15 years in the trade — a real workshop with qualified welders, not a roadside operation
What It Costs
Pressure vessel welding is not a flat price — it depends on the vessel size, plate thickness and material, the number of seams and nozzles, the NDT and hydro-test required, and whether the work is shop-built or field-erected. We price it on a survey of the drawings and the job, and give you a firm scope and quote — never a guess down the phone, and never the lowest-bid corner-cut that fails the test.
Vessel Welding Across Ghana
We fabricate and weld vessels and tanks across Tema, Tema Industrial Area, Takoradi, the Accra industrial belt, Kumasi, and the Western Region — at plants, terminals, and yards. Smaller vessels are workshop-built and tested before delivery; larger tanks are field-erected and welded on site with qualified welders and equipment mobilised to you.
Areas We Serve
Welders Ghana fabricates and welds pressure vessels and storage tanks across Tema, Takoradi, the Greater Accra industrial belt, Kumasi, and the Western Region. On-site and workshop, for over 15 years.

Frequently Asked Questions
Do you weld pressure vessels and tanks to a code-style standard? Yes — we fabricate vessels, tanks, and storage to recognised pressure-vessel welding practice, with welders qualified to ISO 9606 and a qualified welding procedure agreed before fabrication, then NDT-inspect and hydro-test so the result is proven and traceable.
Do you hydro-test the vessel after welding? Yes — a vessel or tank is hydrostatically tested after welding to prove it holds pressure without leak, and the test is recorded alongside the weld and inspection records.
Can you fabricate on site or only in the workshop? Both — smaller vessels are workshop-built, tested, and delivered; larger field-erected tanks are welded on site. We cover Tema, Takoradi, and Accra.
How much does pressure vessel welding cost? It depends on vessel size, plate thickness, material, the number of seams and nozzles, and the NDT and hydro-test required — so we price it on a survey of the drawings and the job, never as a flat rate down the phone.
